Letter to an Unknown Soldier

In memory of those who gave their lives in conflicts stretching back over 100 years, some of our former students have written their own “Letter to an Unknown Soldier”.

They can be found, amongst thousands of other poignant messages, by following this link http://www.1418now.org.uk/letter/new-read/#total-letters, opening the “Search for specific letter” function and then searching by organisation for “Patcham”.

This project closed on 4th August 2014, the centenary of Prime Minister Asquith’s announcement to the House of Commons that Britain had entered the First World War, but the messages received remain no less relevant today. We are very proud of our Patcham students who shared their personal thoughts with such respect and eloquence.
