Last Thursday, 30 students travelled to Aachen in Germany to visit the beautiful Christmas Market. Pupils were able to try out the German food, including Currywurst and the local biscuits Aachener Printen, make use of their German language skills whilst purchasing handcrafted souvenirs and, in the evening, experienced a traditional German dinner (with a continental breakfast the next morning!).
On the Friday, Patcham students met up with pupils from our German partner school, Couven Gymnasium, and were given a tour of the historic city centre. The students enjoyed learning new vocabulary and got along brilliantly – many intend on staying in touch with one another via their mobile phones and the internet.
