Dear Parent/Carer,

Our Year 10 students are entering an extremely important time in their schooling. This time next year, your child will be half way through their GCSE exams. The week beginning Monday 20th June 2016 they will be sitting their Y10 mock exams, then will have two sets of mock exams in December and March of Year 11. It is vital for students to be in school to ensure that they have learnt all of the content and knowledge that is needed for their GCSE exams.

At Patcham High School we require students to meet an attendance target to be able to attend the Year 11 Prom which will be held in July 2017. The target is a student’s attendance must be above 94% for the next year, if a student achieves this they will qualify for prom.

This 94% target will run from June 2016 (starting this half term) until May half term 2017. Therefore, as of now, students must ensure they are in school every day and working to their full potential.

As an extra incentive for those students who have consistently high attendance we will be offering £5 off the prom ticket for every student whose attendance is over 95%.

If you have any questions regarding your child’s attendance please feel free to contact us.

Yours Sincerely
