Brighton Table Tennis Club @BCTTC1  came in to speak to pupils Tuesday about promoting diversity.  The club has been nationally recognised for its inclusive work in the community.

BTTC were able to share the fantastic work Patcham High School Pupil Billy Kegan, and his group, volunteering coaching young refugees in Brighton and Hove as part of their Citizenship GCSE.

Manager Tim Holtam and Coach Harry Fairchild were interviewed by the students, offering help and ideas for how they can combat discrimination. Coach Harry Fairchild was an ‘inspiration’ as the first Qualified Coach in the world with Downs Syndrome/T21.

BTTC have invited the group to come play at the club in Upper Bedford Street in the New Year, an opportunity we will be taking up!

Thanks for coming in to Ms Meaker’s class!
