Student Illness in School

Dear Parent/Carer,

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the school policy regarding students being sent home from school due to illness.

If a child becomes unwell at school they must go to the medical room at Student Services and see Mrs Black. If the student continues to feel unwell they must see their Year Group Leader or Head of Key Stage. Students should not contact home themselves and ask a parent/carer to pick them up. This is a safeguarding issue and as a school we must know where our students are at all times. If a student is too unwell to be here we will contact home and arrange for them to leave, however this decision must be made by the YGL/HOKS and not the student.

Yours sincerely,
Candice Bocking
Head of Key Stage 4
