YEAR 7+8 PARENT EVENT

Helping Manage Anxieties at Secondary School

WHEN: Thursday 4 October, 9:30 – 11:00 am

WHERE: Patcham Community Centre

Some children are more pre-disposed to anxiety and worries than others.

This morning for parents of Year 7 and Year 8 is an opportunity to meet with the Primary Mental Health Workers embedded within Varndean, Dorothy Stringer and Patcham Schools.

It’ll be an open discussion around anxiety, and how we as parents can best support children and teenagers during stressful times.

Jackie, Hugh and Emma will discuss adolescent development, and how it can exacerbate stress, and also talk about where to go for extra support.

It is a chance to have an informal chat in a friendly environment, with tea and coffee provided.

WHERE? Patcham Community Centre, Ladies Mile Road, Brighton BN1 8TA

WHEN? 9:30 – 11 AM, Thursday 4 October

Please email sgoble@patchamhigh.org.uk to book a space.
