Dear Parents and Carers

As the weather improves I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of our uniform code and our general expectations around student’s appearance in school.

Here a copy of our uniform code which outlines our expectations but I would also like to remind you of the following:

• Piercings – Students are only allowed to have one stud per ear, with no other facial or ear piercings allowed (including clear retainers).
• Student’s nails must be of a natural colour, and a short appropriate length. Any long nails, false nails, or unnatural colours will result in students being asked to remove their nails/varnish.
• Our uniform policy states that students should wear plain black socks (no logoed or patterned socks).
• Students are expected to bring a full set of equipment to school in an appropriately sized school bag.
• Students may wear their own coat to and from school as long as it is removed inside the school buildings. Hoodies of any type are not allowed in school
• The only shorts that are allowed are the Patcham High School logoed shorts available from Logo Sports www.logosports.co.uk

We would appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that your son/daughter complies with our uniform code. This avoids unnecessary confrontation and other students feeling a sense of injustice.
Students who choose not to comply with our uniform code will be sanctioned accordingly.

Yours sincerely
Penny Denman

Assistant Head
