This week is  Anti-Bullying Week and the theme is RESPECT. (please also read the Safety Rocks Autumn Newsletter)

IN SCHOOL : Mrs Kinchin-Frost (Head of Life Skills) has provided resources for the whole school, these will allow for open discussions. CHOOSE RESPECT will be highlighted in the schools assemblies and our year 7 and 8’s will be covering this topic in their Life Skills lessons. The aim is to shine the spotlight on some of the key areas of bullying that affect our young people today.

In addition to this the C.A.L.M. department are asking their students to get creative with a We schools initiative to make their own Cards of Kindness. This resource can be found on the We Schools button and state that ‘Research shows that one in five children in the UK experience some form of bullying, with 34 per cent suffering at least once a week in the past 12 months ‘
