Changes linked to the school’s COVID secure protocols

Dear Parent /Carer
I am writing to you about 2 changes linked to the school’s COVID secure protocols.
- In line with DfE guidance, from Monday 17th May students are no longer expected to wear face coverings in school. This applies in all parts of the school including classrooms and communal areas. Face coverings will continue to be worn by staff and visitors in situations outside of classrooms where social distancing is not possible (for example, when moving around in corridors and communal areas).
- From Wednesday 12th May we have a new system of recording Home COVID Lateral Flow Tests. Instead of opening the link in the school website header, students and parents will receive a reminder email with a link to submit their results.
There is no need to login to the system, or remember a new password – once the link in the email is used, the results can be submitted.
At the end of the submission you will be directed to the government website where you can submit the result there.
Click on the following link to see a video of what the process will look like to a student: https://youtu.be/g0vYVX8JGgY
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards
John McKee
