Eco Schools Status Achieved!

Good news, thanks to our Eco Club, Patcham High School have now achieved ‘ECO Schools status!’
To achieve Eco status we had to choose 3 main areas to focus on, which were:
1) To improve the bio-diversity of the school
Achieved by planting wildflower seeds around the school, making and putting up birdfeeders and buying 15 trees to plant around the school.
2) To find ways to conserve energy
Achieved by putting posters up in classrooms and messages in Patcham News and the Student Information Screens.
3) To improve the school grounds
Achieved by starting the allotment, working with a local company and planting some flowers near reception.
Eco Club will continue to work on new ideas throughout the year to improve our school environment through our Eco Club which happens every Wednesday lunchtime, pupils are encouraged to join in.
