Music at Patcham High School is built through the belief that everyone can find joy within music.

We see it as our responsibility to introduce and engage students in musical cultures from across the globe that students might be less familiar with, from the symphonies of the great composers, to the waiata of Aotearoa, the power chords of punk to the one drop syncopation of reggae, the soundscapes transporting us into the world of film to the digital creation of beats. Whether it is as a performer, composer, or as a listener; music is for all and boasts a wide range of opportunities for our students to continue engaging in music further into their lives.
