Patcham High crowned Table Tennis School of the Year by Table Tennis England!

Patcham High School has been recognised as Table Tennis School of the Year by Table Tennis England — a proud moment for the whole school community. The award celebrates Patcham’s commitment to promoting sport and physical activity through its thriving table tennis programme.

From weekly training sessions to inter-school competitions, table tennis has become a standout feature of PE and enrichment at Patcham. The school’s inclusive approach means all students — from beginners to county-level players — have access to expert coaching and regular opportunities to play.

Mike Newman, Deputy Head who attended the event in Nottingham said, “We’re thrilled to receive this recognition. Table tennis has brought so many students together, helping them build skill, confidence, and teamwork. It’s about more than just sport — it’s about creating a sense of belonging and achievement.”

The award reflects Patcham’s broader ethos of success through participation and pride in every student’s journey.
