PHS Run Brings Energy and Team Spirit to the School Field

Students from Years 7, 8 and 9 took to the school field this week for the annual PHS Run, a cross-country style challenge that brought plenty of determination, enthusiasm and muddy trainers.

Held on 10th December during Lesson 5, the event began with students gathering on the old courts for registration and a pre-run briefing before heading out onto the 4km course, approximately six laps of the Patcham High and Patcham Junior School fields. With a mix of grassy sections and hard pathways, runners needed to rely on both stamina and strategy as they worked their way around the route.

The atmosphere was fantastic, with students supporting one another and pushing themselves to achieve their best. Staff were especially impressed by the effort from all year groups and the number of first-time runners who rose to the challenge.

The event also acted as a great warm-up for the upcoming cross country season, which begins after Christmas, with several strong performances catching the eye of PE staff.

Well done to everyone who took part and represented the school with such pride and positivity!
